Anita Marie Pinkney was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Bernice T. Smith & Cornelius Pinkney on April 14, 1959. In her younger life, she was baptized at Africa Baptist Church in Live Oak, FL.

Anita was called home to glory on Sunday, December 2, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Thompson Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and dedicated son: Michael Anthony Waddy (Dwauna Nicole), Jacksonville, FL; Fathers: Cornelius Pinkney, Lake Butler, FL, & Ernest C. Smith, Jacksonville, FL; 8 siblings: Shirley, Rita Richardson, Toni, Tim, Roger (Ruth), Brooksville, FL, Valerie, Riverdale,GA, Cathy, & Bernadette, Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren: Aliauana, Alizae, Decari, & Anthony Waddy. Long-time significant other: Robert Waddy; best friend: Gloria Jerry. Lastly, a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.

The funeral service for Anita Marie Pinkney will be held 12PM, Saturday at the New Covenant Ministries 2360 Saint Johns Bluff Road South. The visitation will be 5-8PM, Friday at the mortuary.
