Life Story for Ben Washington

Ben  Washington
Ben Washington, III was born on February 1, 1955 in Leon County, Florida to the late Ben and Ruby Miller Washington. Ben departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

Ben was educated in the public schools of Leon County. He confessed Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Ben was a member of Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Ben was ordained May 12, 2013

Ben was retired from the United State Army, 82nd Airborne Division.

Ben and Sandra were joined in Holy Matrimony August 5, 2000 and to this union one son, Reuben was born. He was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather.

Ben leaves to cherish his memories: loving and devoted wife Sandra Washington, Jacksonville, FL; one daughter, Ugondia Danyelle (Troy, Sr.) Washington, Tallahassee, FL; three sons, Ben (Clarissa) Washington, IV, Atlanta, GA, C’nez Washington, Tallahassee, FL, Reuben Washington, Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Gloria Washington, Essie Washington, R. Jean Washington-Hall, Louise Whitehead, Cookie Leland, Cathy Leland, Ethea Washington, Joann Thompson, and Sabrina Washington, all of Tallahassee, FL, Vanessa (Dennis) Green and April (Roney) Fulp, Tampa, FL, and Greta Mack, Van Nuys, CA; brothers, John Washington, Kermit (Lauria) Washington, Eddie Washington, and Kenneth Leland, all of Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren, DeAndre Peterson, Troy Green, Jr., Vanessa Washington, Ishmael Green, A’Kiyah Washington and Ben Washington, V; father-in-law, Charles Davoren; sisters-in-law, Janice Harris and Carlene (Darrington) Baddel; brother-in-law, Alvin (Vernice) O’Garro; nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and sorrowing friends. Devoted friends Minister Michael and Beverly Wilcox.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Josh Edward Washington, Sr. and mother-in –law, Inez Davoren
