Candice Enola Washington-Smith was born on June 21, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late, loving Georgia Foster-Lee. Candice was a resident of Sanford and Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated from Seminole State College, Class of 1972. She worked in the Childcare Industry for over 30 years. Candice was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford, Florida.

Candice went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her great-great grandmother and name sake, Candice Johnson; great-grandfather, Guida Bright Washington; great-grandmother, (Big Momma), Georgia Washington; grandmother, Louise Strickland; brother, Tony Washington; two great aunts, Carrie Bell Washington and Eddie Mae Brooks; two uncles, Charlie (Tolo) Washington and Henry Strickland, Jr.;
aunt, Margaret Solomon; cousin, Carolyn Yvonne Washington Bookman;

Candice leaves to cherish her memories: two loving and devoted sons, Dwayne Washington (Christina) and Darrell Washington; ten grandchildren, Darius, Christopher, Simoy, Aurelle, Marlon, Cedric, Si’on, Gwennette Asaili, Isabelle and Aiden; godmother, Dorothy Harrell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Priscilla Widley, Pam Boone, Ida Golden and Pam Lowery; many more sorrowing family members and friends that will dearly miss her.

The funeral service for Candice Enola Washington-Smith will be held 10AM, Friday, August 31st, 2018 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street.
