Charlie Anderson born December 31, 1944 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late John and Inez Anderson .

Charlie Anderson was educated at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine Florida, from grade school until graduation. While attending FD&B he was very musically talented as a vocalist and an instrumentalist. Charlie also attended The Orientation and Adjustment Center in Daytona Fl to learn self-sufficiency as a blind person. Charlie was a very loving, kind and helpful son, brother, nephew, husband, father and friend. Charlie loved his music he would wake up every Saturday morning and play his drum to the beat of the music. Charlie was fondly know as “Bucky” and “Chaball” by his sisters, “Chum” by his niece Kay, “Twin” by his sister-in-law Melody and “Mr. Charlie” in the neighborhood (Grand Park) and others. He was loved by many and a made a lasting impression on anyone he met. Charlie retired from the Federal Building as a Janitor where he worked for many years. Charlie brought much joy and liveliness to any situation. Although he was blind he never let that keep him from doing anything he has set his mind to do, he did more than anyone who could see.

Charlie Anderson was united in Holy Matrimony to Rose Ann Peterson on November 22, 1991.

On January 8, 2010 Charlie was welcomed into heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife Rose A. Anderson of 18 years which he was very proud of, loving children Salena Anderson Baker, Kevin “Kel” Anderson (Lyndell), Lizette “Nikki” Anderson (Dana), (step-daughter) Nedra Philmore, grandchildren Gregory, Ashton, Ja’Cari, Taylor, Christian and Trinity; sisters Vernell Johnson (Gus), Susie A. Smith (Ollie, Sr.); brother John Anderson Jr.; nieces Kay Cardona (Victor), Kimberly Johnston (Ron), Crystal Curry (Andre); nephews Rubin Williams, Ollie L. Smith, Jr. (Brenda); Loving and devoted aunt Elizabeth G. Daise; Loving and devoted mother-in-law Ruby Peterson fondly called “Mother” by Charlie; sister-in-laws Sylvia Peterson, Vanessa Peterson, Carolyn Peterson, Georgia Peterson, Eleanor P. Jones (Curtis), Marsha Young (Larry), Wanda Cash (Kenny); brother-in-laws George Peterson (Melody), Charlie Peterson, Joe Peterson, Kelvin Peterson (Gloria), Kenny Peterson (Maxine), Kenny Newsome; Special aunt-in-law Waline Marshewl (Trenton, N.J.), aunt-in-law Rosa Smith; uncle-in-law Daniel Edwards, and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins other relative and friends.
