Obituary for Cleveland Ford

Cleveland  Ford
Mr. Cleveland Ford was born on December 21, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida, the second oldest child of Daniel Ford, Sr. and Mercidee Ford. Cleveland attended the local schools in Jacksonville, and graduated from Douglas Anderson High School. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1969, and served his country for four years in the (Vietnam War).  Cleveland was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many. He was a faithful member at Disciples of Christ, and served on the Deacon Board Ministry, and Usher Board Ministry. 

Cleveland was called to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Ford-White; grandfather, Ernest White; father, Daniel Ford, Sr.; brother, Daniel Ford, Jr.; brother-in-law, George Thomas; and nephew, Torrance Thomas.
 
Cleveland is survived by his loving wife, Altamese Ford; mother, Mercidee Ford; children, Sylvia Dornes, Anita Gibson, Vicky McCoy, Gwendolyn Hargrove, Cynthia Hargrove, Carolyn Marshall, Sandra Rollins, Celestine Williams, Ronald Hargrove, King Hargrove, Lorenzo Brown, and Ernest Rollins; sisters, Annie Mae Thomas, Barbara Miller (Ira), and a host of sorrowing grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service for Cleveland Ford will be held 11AM, Saturday, at the Greater Moncief Baptist Church 1453 W. 22nd Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7:00 pm , Friday, at the mortuary.
