Corena White was born on October 3, 1973 to James and Leola White. After enduring an extended illness, Corena answered the call of the Lord to come home and rest from her labor, on, May 8, 2010.

Corena, affectionately known as “CC”, Rena, or Baby Girl was raised in Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She was employed by Mike Shad Ford as an accountant for over 11 years. She also worked as secretary for Tabernacle Baptist Institutional Church for two years, as well as, secretary for Batts Mortuary.

Ms. White accepted Christ at an early age, and rendered many years of faithful service, including singing in the church youth chorus, and later teaching Bible school for elementary age children.


Corena loved to shop, travel, dress up, and enjoy family gatherings. She just loved being around her family members. Corena was preceded in death by her brother, James O. Lloyd.

Jerome White (Laverne), and Eric E. White (Rozella); special nieces: Kaneisha L. White and LaToya White; great nieces: Khalid Crowder; niece: Lartisha Ricks; favorite nephew: Kevin Person, Jr. (Karen); nephews: Marcus White, Gerad Brockington, Christopher Bridges, Dominic Haynes, and Gerah Brockington; godparents: Tommie Linton, Michelle and Teracia Crowder, and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Chester; godsons: Keith Crowder and Durrell Cobb; goddaughters: AlJanae and Jacoria; 11 aunts and 4 uncles; favorite aunt: Catherine Grant; special cousins: Mattie M. Pope, Loretta Bartley, Cindy Singleton, Mary and Tara Gregory, Lucrecia Merrion, Casandra Newberry, Don Merrion, Doreatha Adams, Rhonda Clark, Tyrone Powell, Leonard Morgan, and Tarina Lloyd; best friends: Leslie Jennings, Desantis James, Robert Mingo, Melissa Wynes, Sharon Scott, and Frank Hampton, Jr.; Our Dear Corena will also be missed by a host of other sorrowing friends and relatives, too numerous to name.
