Condolence: If I never knew my dad I would have voted Cornell C. Lewis mine. I have never seen another man be a better husband, father, friend or provider. Words cannot suffice at such loss but the word of God gives great comfort. [Mama] Mazie, Connie, and Janice [my earth Angel]. Take great joy and bask in the memories of such a gift that was bestowed upon us from our Lord. (Papa, Dad, Husband, Brother, friend. The wonderful man (and our quiet storm) Cornell C. Lewis, will truly be missed.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Cornell as a letter carrier at the Arlington Station in Jacksonville. Cornell was a very hard worker and the nicest man. He never had a harsh word to say about anyone. I got to see him periodically at our Letter Carrier retirees breakfast and we got to share the good times together. He will be missed by those who worked with him over the years and we send our condolences to his family and friends.

Condolence: The Bible always gives us comfort during these difficult times. At Acts 24:15 it states, "There is going to be a resurrection." So, what can that mean for you. There is three things you can think about: Comfort when a love one dies; freedom from a morbid fear of death; and a real hope of being reunited with our dead loved ones. (John 5:28,29)
Jesus taught his followers to pray for his father's Kingdom to come on the earth. That Kingdom will do away with death forever. He has promised us Everlasting Life on a paradise earth. (John 17:3)

Condolence: My condolences to the Lewis families. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of dear Cornell. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.
