Obituary for Curtis Morrison

Curtis  Morrison
Curtis Morrison affectionately called “Tator Chip” was born on October 2, 1941 in Lenox, Georgia to Dave and Essie Morrison. He later relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he attended Douglas Anderson School, receiving his high school diploma.

Curtis was employed with the International Longshoreman Association (ILA) and retired in 2007 as a dock foreman. Curtis was a loving and caring husband, provider, and father to many. Curtis was also known for his witty and sporty personality. He will be truly missed.

Curtis departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave Morrison and Essie Mae Morrison; brothers, Willie, Howard, Clifford, Roy, and Bill; sisters, Doretha, Lula Mae, and Louise.

Curtis leaves loving cherished memories with his beautiful wife, Rosie Morrison; five beautiful daughters, Reather, Yvonne, Lavonne (Seny), Danielle, and Essie; a son, George Donald; grandchildren, Ciera, Qiana, Shandrika (Chris), Daniel, Tevin, Yahamon, Breyonna, Xavier, Ahreanna, Aaron, Alana, Zeya, and George Jr.; Great-grandchild, Kristiana; special caregiver, Alvin Hawkins; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The funeral service for Curtis Morrison will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 2nd, 2016 at the Mighty Church of the Redeemed 2311 W 12th Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32209. The visitation will be 5:00 pm 7:00 pm , Friday, July 1st, 2016 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
