Obituary for David Vorice Johnson

David Vorice  Johnson
David Vorice Johnson was born on October 16, 1967 to the late Marjorie B. Johnson and Herbert B. Johnson, Sr. in Jacksonville, FL, where he attended the public schools in Duval County, graduating from Jean Ribault High School, class of 1985. David confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He served in the United States Navy Reserve.

David was united in Holy Matrimony to Carmen Prince and to this union they were blessed with two children, Danielle Johnson and Corey Johnson. David was very family oriented and a gentle giant. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie B. Johnson and brother, Herbert Johnson, Jr.

David departed this life on Friday, December 5, 2014 and he leaves to cherish his memories: A loving daughter, Danielle Johnson; son, Corey Johnson; a loving father, Herbert B. Johnson, Sr.; loving sister, Gwendolyn L. Johnson; aunts, Carolyn Simon of NY, Claudia Lenhart, Catherine McQuaye of Long Island, NY, Juanita Wilson, Claudette Johnson; uncle, Ernest Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.

The funeral service for David Vorice Johnson will be held 1:30pm SATURDAY at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7pm Friday at the mortuary.
