Denise Elizabeth  Salters
Denise was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on December 18, 1955 to Clifton Black, Sr. and Emma Black. Denise lived in Kentucky for 23 years. She later moved from Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Jacksonville, Florida. Denise was employed with Vistakon for over 30 years in distribution, where she later retired.

Denise later met and married Alphonso Salters in Jacksonville, Florida on June 20, 1981 and from this union three daughters, Dionne, Shaldra and Rashondra was born. Denise was a member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church under the leadership of Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Sr. and Bishop Rudolph McKissick Jr.

Denise departed this life on Friday, June 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonso Salters; father, Clifton Black, Sr.; mother, Emma Black and brother, Clifton Black, Jr.

Denise leaves to cherish her loving memories: three daughters, Dionne R. Bibbs (Nikita Bibbs), Shaldra R. Taylor (Reginald Taylor, Sr.), Rashondra M. Salters; granddaughters, Jazmyne L. Davis and Jamiyah D. Gilford; grandson, Reginald Taylor, Jr.; sisters, Pastor Hattie Hughes and Dorothy Higgins (Quinton); brothers, Joe Ratcliff, Melvin Keith Black, Michael Black and Larry Darnell Black (Stephanie); special and best friends, Diane Watson (ugly); SS Crew, Edith Simmons, Dee Rogers, Carolyn Neal and Annetta Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

The funeral service for Denise Elizabeth Salters will be held 11AM, Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at the Oceanway Assembly of God 12240 Sago Ave West. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday, at the mortuary. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book and view the video tribute @ www.tswarden.com.
