Obituary for Eddie B. "Eddie B" Maultsby

Eddie B. "Eddie B"  Maultsby
Mr. Eddie B. Maultsby was born March 28, 1925 in Jesup (Doctortown), Georgia. He was the oldest of six children
born to the late Ed and Essie Mae Maultsby.

Mr. Maultsby served in the United States Navy for 4 years and was honorably discharged May 27, 1946. He was employed as a longshoreman and worked for a local moving company. He was a very active member of the Mary Singleton Center where he enjoyed numerous games and activities with family and friends.

On February 18, 2011, Mr. Maultsby departed this life here on earth. He leaves to cherish his memories his sister and devoted caretaker Catherine Royal; cousins who were raised by their parents as brothers, Julius Williams, Herman Williams (Bernice); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews are sorrowing friends.

The funeral service will be held 10:00AM, Thursday at Evergreen Baptist Church, 1100 Logan Street. The visitation will be 4:30-5:30PM, Wednesday at the mortuary. Life Story for Eddie B. "Eddie B" Maultsby

Mr. Eddie B. Maultsby was born March 28, 1925 in Jesup (Doctortown), Georgia. He was the oldest of six children born to the late Ed and Essie Mae Maultsby.
Mr. Maultsby served in the United States Navy for 4 years and was honorably discharged May 27, 1946. He was employed as a longshoreman and worked for a local moving company. Mr. Maultsby joined the Evergreen Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev L.R Felix, served on District 6 where Deacon Samuel Jackson was the leader. During his years of sickness Mr. Maultsby received visitation, prayer and comfort from Rev Albert Moreland where through him he re-stored his membership and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Mr. Maultsby was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Laura Bell Maultsby, Eloise Johnson, Altamese Morgan and brother Tommie Lee Maultsby.
