Elizabeth Maryann Dixon was born on November 8, 1947 in Palatka, Florida to Julius and Georgia Mae Butler. She attended the local schools in Duval County and later completed high school in Rome, Georgia.
As a pastor’s daughter, Elizabeth was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the Holy Ghost as a teenager. It was in church that she met and married David Wesley Braziel. To this union three children, Greg, David, and Shederricka was born. After situations occurred, Elizabeth and David parted ways, but in 1981 she met and married Norris Greg Dixon who was the love of her life.

Elizabeth worked primarily as an License Practical Nurse, she also was an entrepreneur and owned several small businesses during her lifetime. Elizabeth served the Lord in many capacities as a sister, evangelist, and as a pastor.

On Monday, January 16, 2017 around 6:22 am, the Lord saw fit to call Elizabeth home to receive her reward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Pastor Georgia Butler.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Deacon Norris Greg Dixon; children, Greg Braziel, David Braziel, and Shederricka Braziel; a loving sister, Alberta Lawson (Harold); loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, acquaintances, and sorrowing friends.

The funeral service for Elizabeth M. Dixon will be held 11 AM, SATURDAY, at the Glorious Bethlehem Temple Church, 2210 Wister Street. The visitation will be held 5-7 PM, Friday at the mortuary.
