Obituary for Ernest Wade Bowes

Ernest Wade  Bowes
Mr. Ernest (peewee) Wade Bowes was born on September 13, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ruth Frazier Wade and Ernest Lee Wade. He attended the local schools of Duval County. Ernest was employed in his earlier years at Premier Meat Store.

Over the years Ernest visited New Instruments Of Praise Christian Fellowship Church. He enjoyed telling jokes and making people smile. Ernest was a very determined person that would usually figure out a way to have things his way. He was a pleasure to be around and he had an awesome ability of prayer that would cause you to surprisingly take notice.

Ernest departed this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Wade and Ernest Wade; one sister, Wilhemina; six brothers, Charlie, Bill, Jimmy, Robert, Mickey, and Sammy.

Ernest leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Kenyon Bowes, Malcolm Bowes, and Britney Bowe; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Bernice Watson, Mary Elbert (Herman), Ernestine Pemberton (Paul), Ruth Banks, Hattie Martin, Cornelius Wade (Toni), Isaac Wade (Kim), and Idella Morman (Bruce); three aunts, Lillie McTeer, Marjorie Frazier, and Aileen Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service for Ernest Wade Bowes will be held 11:00 am TUESDAY, at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 4315 N. Main St. The visitation will be held 5 - 7:00 pm, Monday at the mortuary.
