Fran and I go way back 37 years to our wild youth at Baptist Hospital. Good parties and gatherings with the Baptist ( and later St Vincents Riverside) crowd.Trips to New Orleans, Fran's famous themed parties, a day trip on casino boat where she refused to lend me a roll of quarters so I wouldn't become addicted. :D She came out to the Northwest in the late 80's and I gave her a whirlwind tour or Portland and even Seattle.
We even had a name for all her peeps- FOF. "Friends of Fran", as she had so many.
She was the most conscientious of nurses and any patient was fortunate to be in her care
When you planned an activity or outing with Fran, it was best to block the entire day, as you did it all on "Fran Time" and no telling where the day would take you or how long. :)
Frannie, I played some Al Green for you and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band's version of "I'll Fly Away" on my Jazz show last nite..hope you heard it.And I wrote a note to you in the sand on my end here in Washington
Wherever you are, I know you are running the Angels ragged, Girlfriend. :)
In lieu of flowers, there will be a donation in your name to the American Beach Museum, the home you loved so much for these many years.
We'll meet up again. Love to you , your Florida family, and NY family.
Jeannine
