Obituary for Gloria Jean Johnson
Gloria “Jean” Ford Johnson was born on January 21, 1942 to Horace Ford and Susie Blount Ford in Jacksonville, Florida. She received her education in the Duval County Public School System. Jean worked for more than 30 years as a cook.
Jean departed this life on February 3, 2016 at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Johnson; children, Vicki and Jacqueline; parents, Horace and Susie Blount Ford; sister, Irene Sherita Moore (Elmer Sr.).
Jean is survived by her siblings, Charles Kenneth Ford, Sr., Patricia Ann Watts (Allen), and Anita Faye Ford; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, friends, and last but not least her baby Shakur Hall.
The funeral service for Gloria Jean Johnson will be held 11:00 am Thursday, February 11th, 2016 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. The visitation will be 10:00 am 11:00 am , Thursday, February 11th, 2016 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street JACKSONVILLE, FL 32206. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery.
