Mr. Guy Evans, Sr., was born on December 5, 1934 to the late, Mr. Shelly Evans and Mrs. Ellen Evans in Aiken, South Carolina. He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Runs Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Evans received his education in the Aiken Public Schools, of South Carolina. He later met and married the late, Beatrice Gathers on December 12, 1955, and from this union was born three sons, Guy Evans, Jr., Charles Evans and Gary Evans; three daughters, Barbara Larke, Shirley Evans and Regina Hunter.

Mr. Evans, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelly and Ellen Evans; his wife Beatrice Evans; two brothers, Paul Evans, Sr. and Shelly Evans, Jr.

Mr. Evans, leaves to cherish his memories, six children, Barbara (Johnnie) Larke of Hephzibah, GA, Guy Evans, Jr., Shirley Evans, Charles (Stephaine) Evans, Gary Evans, Regina (Willie) Hunter; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great– grandchild; one sister, Rubena Bryant, all of Jacksonville, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.




The chapel service for Guy Evans will be held 2PM, Saturday at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday at the mortuary.
