Henry Hamilton, Jr. was born May 22, 1926 in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was the only child of Hattie and Henry Hamilton, Sr. His parents, His
Stepmother, Maggie Barnett-Hamilton, His daughter, Marshay and son, Joseph
have preceded him in death.

Henry confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Tabor

Missionary Baptist Church in Sandusky, Illinois. After his duty to the United
States Navy, he moved to Chicago, Illinois. In 1953 he met and married Dorothy
L. Taylor. He worked as an auto mechanic until he retired in 1988. Spending
numerous winters in Florida prompted him and Dorothy to move permanently to
Jacksonville in 2009.

“Junior”, as he was lovingly called departed this life on Tuesday, June

26, 2012 at home. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Mrs. Dorothy L.
Hamilton; three daughters: Sylvia Cain (Chicago); Ruth and Geraldine Hamilton
(Jacksonville, FL): three sons: Raymond (Marie) (Charleston, SC); Henry III and
Daniel (Chicago): ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, one great-great
grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
