Huley Clarence Barron Jr.
Mr. Huley Clarence Barron Jr. Better known as “C.B” was born on February 10, 1962 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Huley Clarence Barron Sr. and Katie L. Barron. In 1979 Huley landed his first job with the Jacksonville City Plant, after working for 6 months Huley wanted a better career so he applied to Tampa Tech majoring in Computer Engineering, graduating 5th in his class with over 450 graduates receiving an Associate Degree in 1982. Working in Dallas for Texas Instrument, Inc. in 1982 is where he excelled and worked hard in his position for 22 years. Huley accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized as a baby, for most of his life he was a member of Greater Payne AME Church.

After moving back to Jacksonville, Huley was encouraged by his mother to rejoin his childhood church, The Greater Payne AME Church, under the leadership of Melvin Kennerly who also has a vision like he had, who believe in developing the total man to reach, teach, win, and developing souls for Christ. These last two years Huley took his church functions very serious, singing with the Sons of Thunder choir, cook out events, selling dinners, and attending Conferences and Convention events. The pastor allowed Huley to place his poetry in the Sunday Order of Service bulletin. For that the family will be forever grateful to pastor. That brought joy to Huley’s heart, he talked about writing his own book one day. Huley loved to cook, he was loved by his family, and his family often called him (Doctor, Uncle, and Jr.).

Huley was a loving son, good brother, and supportive uncle. He departed this life suddenly on Monday, August 1, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Huley Clarence Barron, Sr.; aunts, Virginia Schley (Neal) of Atlantic City, New Jersey and Beaulah Legree; uncle, Gary Hill of Jacksonville, Florida and Theodore Legree of Miami, Florida.
