Not only was she admired for being beautiful by the preteens at church, but her walk with Christ was an example to us all.

Condolence: The Johnson's of the Marshalltown Terrace Family were deeply saddened by the news of Janice's Homegoing.

Today we pause to ponder, with kind words from the heart, That recall sweet memories of loved ones that depart. Words of reflection as a movie that is run; But even greater still, our friend lives with the Son. No good-bye, but see you later. Heaven's call is something greater. Resolution
To The Family of Mrs. Janice Padgett Mills
Be it resolved that the officers and members of the Roosevelt High School Class of 1967 pen these resolutions and desire to place on record, that we express our grief and deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Janice Padgett Mills and we bow in humble submission to the will of God and encourage the family to keep on, not in your own strength, but in the power of God’s might. Death is a curse that represents a transition from earth to glory for the believer. Though you feel grief, hurt and a deep sense of loss, there is rejoicing in heaven and we rejoice that your loved one is in God’s presence. So do not grieve as others do, who have no hope. (I Thess 4:13). Our hope is in Jesus, who will one day reunite all those who believe in Him.
The hope of a blessed resurrection bringing all who are under the certain, sad sentence of death; for those who have been faithful, life is not ended, but merely changed; and when this earthly abode dissolves, an ETERNAL dwelling place awaits them in Heaven. May Janice rest in peace.
Be it also resolved, that we pray for the family’s strength in this period of adjustment in their loss and our hearts reach out to them in words and deeds of encouragement during this time.
Tenderly, may time heal your sorrow,
Gently, may friends ease the pain,
Softly, may peace replace heartache,
And may warmest memories remain.

Be it further resolved, that a copy of this resolution be kept in our minutes and a copy be given to the family, as we commend the soul of Mrs. Janice Padgett Mills, to the Panther Den Eternal and enter sympathetically into the sorrows of the bereaved, and bid them hope, through the Master of all life, that they shall see their loved one again, for the last enemy that shall destroy us is death. May it help the family to know that we will continue to pray for you all.

Condolence: To the Padgett & Mills Family We extend our deepest & heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Jan Mills. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lords". Remember, God yet loves you! God can and will heal the broken hearted, if all the pieces are given to HIm. We will continually lift the family up before the Lord.

Condolence: My prayers are with you. I remember Janice from Gary at Universal. I also remember her laugh, boy, when she laughed, she made you laugh cause she was laughing. She had a beautiful spirit and opened the doors of her home to Akiba and I when we needed a safe haven. You, Mrs. J. Mills will be missed; but remembered in my heart.
