Jimmie Lewis Mosley was born on August 25,1931 to Charlie Mosley and Cilia Glee in Eastman, Georgia. He met and married Emma Turner on December 31, 1949 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Jimmie confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized, joining Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church where he became an ordained deacon and served faithfully for many years.

Jimmie was granted his wings at the age of 85, on December 26, 2016. His final days were spent surrounded by family members and friends he touched in some way throughout the course of his very memorable life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Cilia Mosley; brothers, Milton Mosley, Joe Mosley, Michael Mosley, and Henry Mosley; sisters, Lois V. Mosley and Lillie M. Powell.

Jimmie leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving wife of almost 67 years, Emma Mosley; children, Louis Mosley (Margaret Mosley), Ruthene Tukes (late Johnnie Tukes), Ida Robinson (late Chris Robinson), and Barbara Sheppard; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great great-great grandchild; brothers, Deon Charlie Mosley and James Mosley (Mildred); sister-in-laws, Martha Mosley, Dot Mosley, Susan Mosley, Ella Way, and Rubye Anderson; other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for JIMMIE LEWIS MOSLEY will be held 11:00 am SATURDAY, at the Evergreen Baptist Church 1100 Logan St. The visitation will be held 5 - 7:00 pm, Friday, at the mortuary.
