Obituary for John Lee Burgess
John Lee Burgess was born in Ashburn, Georgia on June 7, 1949 to Ned and Victoria Burgess. John served as a Marine in Vietnam where he earned several medals for his courage and integrity.
John departed this life on Sunday, November 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by: Leroy, Willie, Martha, Rosabell, Johnnie Mae, Willie Clara, Joe, Josephine and Mae Linda.
John leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Victoria Jackson (Dominique) and Darlene Glover (Anthony); three stepchildren, Bruce Kirksey (Ericka), Malinda Adams (Ira) and Cassandra Hills; 21 grandchildren, Siera, Bruce, John, Jacari, Sidney, Yakima, Devyn, Jakeria, Anthony Jr., Javier, Elijah, Dominique, Derrick, Lavoria, Quaderries, Dominique, Javont’e, Jabriel and Alexis; three great-grandchildren, Harmoni, Alfred and Emperor sisters, Delores Burgess, Helen Holmes, Elizabeth King and Fannie Crockett (Edward) a host of nieces, nephews and his best friend, Joe Cummings.
