John Henry Horne Jr. was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 4, 1942 to Clemmie Hutchins and John Henry Horne, Sr. He received his education at Old Stanton Senior High School. John married “his first love” Emma Pearl Tiller in Jacksonville, Florida, from this union one son, John and two daughters, Edris and Tarina were born.
John departed this life on Friday, December 15, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clemmie Bruce; father, John Henry Horne Sr. and great-grandson, Cornelius Deshun Wright Jr.
John leaves to mourn his passing three children, Edris Snow, Tarina Horne Rogers (Joe) and John Henry Horne III (Jeannine); a brother, Archie Bruce (Maribel); fourteen grandchildren, Candace Rogers (Eric), Quarzon Horne, Christopher Horne, Erica Horne, Michael Underwood Jr., Shannon Denedo, Johnneisha Horne, Kawaisha Raysor, Maya Williams (Henry), John Henry Horne IV, Cameron Horne, Justin Drayton and Corey Drayton; seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
