Obituary for Juanita Celestine Graham

Juanita Celestine Graham
Mrs. Juanita Celestine Mitchell Graham was the third of thirteen children born to Della and William Mitchell in the city of Jacksonville, Florida. She was educated in the local schools and was employed with the Early Childhood Program, Revco Drug Stores and AutoZone for more than fifteen years. She will always be remembered by co-workers and those influenced by her as being kind, direct and nurturing second only to her strong work ethics. Most importantly, the culminating event of her life was marked by her total surrender to Christ. In September of 1982, she took on the personage of Christ denouncing the former things and declaring that all things had become new in her life. Within that time frame, she became a member of the Philippian Community Church under the tutelage and leadership of Bishop Lawrence C. Callahan, Sr., where she faithfully worshiped until her matriculation to Harvest Ministries where Pastor LeAnthony Wright presides.

Along with other believers, she set forth in pioneering a newly established effort to disciple souls for Christ. It was there that she stood strong on the promises of God.Through heartache, pain and strife, she believed God. Distinguished by her liberality and willingness to give of herself and substance in support of the cause and work of God, Juanita C. Graham has established herself as a phenomenal woman indeed.

She leaves behind to honor and carry on her memory: sons, Alonzo, Jr. (Yolanda), Marvin, and Michael; mother, Della Mitchell; sisters, Shirley Jones, Marva Sinclair, Patricia Brown, Sharon Mitchell and Alveta Mitchell; brothers, Larry (Amelia) Mitchell and Daniel Butler; eleven grandchildren that she loved dearly; three great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; dear friends and loving members of the Body of Christ. The funeral service for Juanita Celestine Graham will be held 11AM, Thursday at the Harvest Ministries 2225 N Myrtle Avenue. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Wednesday at the mortuary. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries. Please sign the family guest book @ www.tswarden.com. Arrangements in care of Tyrone S.
