Keith Lamarr Fields was born on October 20, 1966 to Raymond Fields and Geraldine Ransome Fields in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended church under the leadership of his late aunt, the founder of We’re for Jesus, Dr. Mary A. Jones and Apostle Dr. Robert L. Jones. Keith attended the local schools in Duval County, graduating from Jean Ribault High School, Class of 1984. He continued his education receiving an Associate’s Degree in Computer Engineering and several technical certifications from Florida State College at Jacksonville. Keith’s persistent for higher education led him to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He also received certifications in Contract Administration, Contract Management, Advanced Accountability and Project Management.

Keith’s career started as a young child. He learned and experienced great work ethics by going to work with his parents and siblings while attending grade school. As he grew older, so did his work ethic that helped to shape him into the great man he became. His work history included working for Bendix Engineering Corporation and several financial institutions. For over 20 years, Keith was a valued staff member of First Coast Workforce Development (CareerSource Northeast Florida), where he directed youth employment programs, data analysis and contract administration. He worked closely with local chambers of commerce, school districts, and regional nonprofit agencies. In his professional capacity, Keith served on many boards and committees, including the regional school board’s Applied Technology committee, Florida State College’s Pathways program and the Adult Education Coordinating and Planning committee. He will be remembered fondly by the organization both as a friend and for his commitment to improving the lives of residents of Northeast Florida. Keith was also a businessman, where he shared ownership of a photographer business.
Keith’s hobbies included music; he had a love for all types of music and in his spare time, he would play his keyboard and try to sing a tune. He enjoyed basketball and football; some of his favorite teams were the Chicago Bulls, Gators and Jaguars.

Keith’s favorite motto’s were, “treat people like you want to be treated”; “in order to have friends, one must show themselves friendly” and “everything doesn’t require a response” he truly lived by those words. He was a leader, loyal confidant, smart, represented much strength and power, a true friend. Keith was a wonderful loving man, and he loved his family and friends. Being the Patriarch of the family, he will truly be missed.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Geraldine Fields.
