Lavert Wendall Allen was born on October 3, 1960 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Emory Baskin and Roslyn Douglas.

Lavert was preceded in death by his mother, Roslyn Douglas, and grandfather, Wise Douglas.

Lavert leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters, Brenda Taylor (Clarence), Zondya Presley, Lynetta Gray; aunt, Gwen Jones; uncle, Carlton Jones; nephew, Juan, Micah, Nathaniel, Warren, Antwan; niece, Yonnve, and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The funeral service for Lavert Wendall Allen will be held 11 AM THURSDAY at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main St. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
