Mr. Lawrence Lee Jones was born on September 27, 1956 in Jacksonville, Florida to Mrs. Mary L. Blunt and the late Delawrence Jones. He attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from William M. Raines High School, Class of 1974. Immediately following graduation, Lawrence enlisted into the United States Army, where he served for 11 years. Lawrence was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for a number of years prior to becoming disable.

Lawrence departed this life on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father.

Lawrence leaves to mourn a loving mother, Mary L. Blunt; son, Lawrence Maurice Binder; sisters, Loriann Jones, Carla Hampton, Barbara Westry, Myra Lowery (Frank) and Delois Jones; nieces, Erika Johnson and Somer Hampton; nephews, Phillip Pearson (Margaret), Deon Jones, Michael Johnson, Frank Lowery III, David McCauley and Oscar McCauley; grand nieces, Deja McCauley, Deliah Jones and Shailyce Strickland; grand nephews, Bryan Gates, Jr., Michael Johnson II and Kyran Ali; aunts, Willie Mae Jordan and Corneila Brown, Vyletta Robinson and Ella Beatrice Jones; uncles, David Jones, Leonard Jones and Prince Albert Jones; a host of other relatives and friends.
