Our beloved LeePhor Spivey Sr. was born July 17,1927 in Dublin Ga. to the late Willie James and Mary Spivey. Preceded in death by daughter Brenda Kierce, brothers Joe, Willie and John Henry Spivey and sister Lucille.
He moved to Jacksonville, Fl in the mid 50’s where he worked and retired from A&P and Pepsi. He departed this life on December 11,2012. LeePhor Spivey Sr. was known by just “ SPIVEY” and had a smile that lite up the world. He leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted wife Dorothy M. Spivey. 8 daughters Shirley, Dianne, Cynthia and Sheila Spivey, Joni Davis, Barbara Herderson, Mary Williams and LaTonya Carter.3 sons LeePhor ( Maria ) Spivey, Wayne Spivey and Willie Sanders. 3 sisters Rosalee Coley, Juanita Thompkins, and Genetta Carter. 1 brother Alton (Joan) Spivey. 4 sister in law Juanita Spivey, Catherine Henry (Kenneth), Mary Hill (Pastor Hill) and Cynthia brown. 2 brother in law Jimmy (Mattie) and David Williams. Special Aunt Evelyn Cummings. 32 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousin and devoted friends.

The funeral service for Leephor Spivey will be held 12PM, Friday at the Holy Church of the Living God, 1598 West 14th Street. The visitation will be 6-8PM, Thursday at the mortuary.
