Leon Walker, was born on August 15, 1935, in Griffith Georgia to the late Francis Bryd and Leon Walker. He was educated in public school in Duval County up until 9th grade. He then started working for Carroll Saw Company, West Beaver Street and continued working there until he retired after 50 years of Service.

Leon was a member of Paxon Revival Center Church, Late Pastor Jimmie Dobbs, and now Pastor Steve Dobbs.

On Saturday morning, June 23, 2011 while a patient at Baptist Hospital, God called him home to rest after a long battle with Cancer.

Leon is preceded in death by his Grandson; Joshua Miller and Great Grandson; Cobey Gibson. Leon leaves to cherish his memories a very devoted family: Wife; Annie Ruth Walker, Son; Leon Walker III (Henretta), Aundra Walker, Gary Walker (Carolyn), Vance Walker, Dwayne Walker (Tonya), Larry Miller, Fredrick Miller, Michael Miller, Marvin Miller (Veronica), Josheph Hall, Tony Shumaker, Daughter; Renee Walker-Watson, Phyllis Walker-Chisom (Terry), Elisa Miller ,Liz Hubbard (Benjamin) and Samantha Miller.
Sisters; Bertha Hinton and Emma Gene Bickers (Johnny); A Host of Grand and Great Grand children; and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
