Obituary for Lewis Price Sr.

Lewis  Price Sr.
Lewis Price, Sr. was born in Tallahassee, FL on February 27, 1947; to Mr. Eddie Price and Mrs. Mary Robinson-Price. He was the sixth of eight children born of this union. Lewis was educated in Leon County Public Schools.

In 1962, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida and later married Carrie F. Jefferson. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and sibling. Lewis departed this life peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2012 in the presence of his family.

Lewis was a salesman for Wise Potato Chips Inc., where he retired after 35 years of diligent service. Afterwards, he ventured into entrepreneurship and became the proud owner of L.C.V. Food Store.

Left with loving memories are: his devoted wife, Carrie F. Price; two sons, Lewis A. Price and Ashton J. (Andrea) Price; three grand-daughters Felicity Price, Ashli Price, and Khaydrea Burton; two brothers Freddie (Iretta) Price Tallahassee, FL; and Jimmie (Hannah) Price; three sisters: Lula (Alfred) Johnson, Martha Price, and Alice Price of Jacksonville, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, close friends and acquaintances.

The funeral service will be held 11AM, Saturday at the St. Philip's Episcopal Church 321 West Union Street. The visitation will be 5 - 7PM, Friday at the mortuary. Interment in Edgewood Cemetery.
