Obituary for Loraine Bradley Donaldson
Mother Loraine Bradley Donaldson was born on January 15, 1932 in the Community of New Berlin in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Lucille Brazle Brill and Elmore Brill. Mother Donaldson was educated in the Duval County School System and later became a certified cosmetologist in which she serviced clients all over the city for over 40 years and was well loved and respected by her clients and fellow cosmetologists in the industry.
Mother Donaldson gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a long time member of Faust Temple Church of God in Christ and later became a member of Victory in Christ Bible Church.
Mother Donaldson departed this life on Mother’s Day, May 8, 2016. Knowing that “all is well with her soul” as she would often recite. She was preceded in death by husbands, Richard Bradley and William Donaldson; a son, Dwane “Chico” Bradley.
Mother Donaldson leaves to cherish her loving memories, children: Charlton “Chuck” Bradley, Sr., Johnathan “Jay” Bradley, Loraine “Cookie” Baggs (Eddie), and Dionne “Deedee” Shamell; stepson: Erskine Merriweather (Wanda); grandchildren: Reneca Moye, Erica Bradley, Charlton “Chuckie” Bradley, Justin Bradley, Travis Mansfield, Jordan Moore and Jada Bradley; great-grandchildren: Chelsea Gresham (Kyle), Alexis, Aaliyah and AJ Taylor; sister: Wendy Way (Boyd); aunt: Jennie Baysmore of Port Arthur; special family members: Ramona Williams, Gwen Britten, Debra Sheffield, Rayfield Jenkins and Jacquelin Jones of Port Arthur, Texas and many more sorrowing family members and friends.
Loraine Bradley-Donaldson, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL passed May 8, 2016. She was a member of Victory in Christ Bible Reading Church, 2525 W. Edgewood Ave 32209, Elder W. F. Faust Jr., pastor. Mrs. Donaldson will rest in the mortuary for the visitation of family and friends on Friday, May 13th, 5-7PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14th, at her church at 11AM. Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery. Please sign the family guest book at www.tswarden.com.
