Brother Richardson was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 31, 1936, to the late Alfred and Ruth P. Jones. To this union four children, Lucille, Lucious, Rutha Bell and Marion were born.

Brother Richardson was a former member of Sweetfield Baptist Church and Shiloh Church. He was educated in the Duval County School System, graduating from Matthew W. Gilbert, Class of 1955.

Brother Richardson was employed by Bell South Communications for over 40 years, retiring in 1995.

Brother Richardson departed this life Friday, February 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ruth Jones; 2 sisters, Lucille, Bailey and Marion Jones.

Brother Richardson is survived by his children; a sister, Rutha Bell Jones (Houston, Texas); a devoted friend, Cheryl Horford; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


The memorial service for Lucious Richardson Jr., will be held 11AM, Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at the Funerals By T. S. Warden - Samuel C. Rogers, Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 North Main Street.
