Life Story for Mary Jones

Mary Jones
Mary Brown Jones was born in Riceboro, Georgia on January 1, 1918 to Latson and Edna Brown. She married Ike Jones and from this union was born their only child Henry Lee Jones. Mrs. Jones was a Christian, who loved the Lord with her mind, body, and soul. She was a long time member of St. Johns Holiness Revival Center, Pastor T. W. Whitehead and recently joined True Believers of Jesus Christ Full Gospel Ministry, Pastor Dorothy P. Jackson. Mrs. Jones, a longtime member of the Eastside community, was known and loved by hundreds. She never met a stranger, and will be remembered for her love of Christ, giving heart, commitment to her community, and those delicious honey drippers that people would drive miles for.
Mrs. Jones passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, August 20, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and favorite aunt and roommate Ruth Mae Mims. Those left behind to cherish her memories are son, Henry Lee Jones (Bridgette); granddaughter, Faye Jones; great-granddaughter, Trinity Jones; cousins, Jeanette Potts, Juanita Boothe, Thelma Roberts, Edith LaCount and Joe Walthour; nephews/godsons, David Jones, Frank Simmons, Donta Martin, and Devin Martin; nieces/goddaughters, Diane Brown, Elizabeth Daniels, Kimberly Martin (Darian), Myra Simmons, and Shambria Simmons; dedicated caregiver, Gertrude Vaughn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
