Obituary for Maxie McCoy

Maxie  McCoy
Mr. Maxie McCoy passed away in a local Hospital on March 18, 2011. He was educated in the Duval County School System and later joined the U.S. ARMY and received a Honorable Discharge. He retired from Railroad Express after 33 years of service. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at a early age. He was very well known in the community as he touched the lives of many whom he encountered. Mr. McCoy is survived by his loving wife Bertha McCoy for 53 years; sons, Larry(Mary) McCoy, Keith McCoy, step on Jerome Boynton; daughters, Maxine( Timothy) Bean), Latanya McCoy; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; 1brother in law, 5 sister in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, March 26, 11:30 AM at the West Friendship Baptist Church, 945 Carrie St. Rev. Timothy Cole Sr., PASTOR. The visitation of friends for the late Mr. Maxie McCoy will be Friday(TODAY) from 6-8PM, at the Mortuary and in the Church on Saturday at 10:30am until the hour of service.
