Mildred Daugherty  Jones
Mildred Daugherty Jones, also known as Mildred Ann, was born on September 14, 1950 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Zadie Carter and Roosevelt Artybridge. Mildred married Jonathan Daugherty in 1966 in Norfolk, Virginia. They had a daughter, Desilene Denise Daugherty in 1967 in Hempstead, New York.

Mildred and Desilene moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1974 to live with her sister Brenda L Moody and family. Mildred met Carl Richard Jones and they married in 1990. Mildred was a devoted homemaker and had been a member of the North Pearl Street Baptist Church since 2006. She contributed to several non-profit organizations including Wounded Warriors.

Mildred departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zadie Carter and Roosevelt Artybridge; siblings, Terry Stephen Artybridge, Danny Artybridge, and Brenda L Moody; husband, Carl Richard Jones.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Desilene D Daugherty; Desilene’s sister, Helen (Raymond) Young; nephews, Donnell (Jackie) Artybridge, Trenton D Williams, Thomas W Williams, Timothy A Moody; siblings, Kenny (Michelle) Artybridge, Calvin Artybridge, Sharlene Johnson; the Jones family; the Daugherty family; other relatives, friends, and godchildren.

The funeral service for Mildred Daugherty Jones will be held 10:00 am SATURDAY, at the North Pearl Street Baptist Church 4003 N Pearl St. The visitation will be 5 - 7:00 pm Friday at the mortuary.
