Life Story for Naomi K. Doggett

Naomi K.  Doggett
Mrs. Naomi Nettie King Doggett was born to Mr. James Butler King and Mrs. Ella Elizabeth Love King on January 14, 1925 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. She was the 7th child of 8 children.
She attended the Allen Home Boarding School in Asheville, North Carolina from 2nd through 12th grade, after which she enrolled in North Carolina State University. It was during this time that she met and later married Odell J.L. Doggett in 1945. To this union, one daughter, Patricia, was born.
The family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1955 where she united with the Laura Street (later renamed Woodlawn) Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Doggett attended Woodlawn until her health began to fail.
Naomi departed this life on October 31, 2010, preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and two sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing, a daughter, Ms. Patricia Parker; granddaughter, Ms. Erika Nicole Parker; one surviving sibling, Lillian K. Roberts of Charlotte, N. C.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
