Obituary for Robert Lee "Rob" Gray
Robert Lee Gray affectionately known as “Rob” was born on October 12,1955 to Nicelee Ports and Charlie Gray, Sr. In Jesup, Georgia. Robert attended Lowndes County Georgia School systems.
Robert married Lizzie Mae Jacobs on April 13,1988. He worked for Southeastern Metal for many years and Agility Warehouse Company in Jacksonville, Florida.
Robert departed this life on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Gray, Sr.; mother-in-law, Orpha Lee Jacobs; two brothers, Eugene Gray and Albert Gray; two sisters, Lou Eva Jones and Christine Simmons.
Precious Memories will live on in the heart of his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Lizzie Gray; children, Sherika Ryan (Charles) and Daniel Jacobs; mother, Mrs. Nicelee Ports; four grandchildren, Jamil Trapp, Shanyia Gray, Camron Ryan and Kinsley Ryan; father-in-law, Lemuel Jacobs Sr.; four sisters, Betty Gray, Wanda Wright, Myra Davis (Gary) and Patricia Brown (Ray); two brothers, Charles Gray (Mattie) and Alonzo Gray (Carla); three sisters-in-law, Hilda Jacobs, Hearlddean Richardson, Katherine Finnessee (Hosea); three brothers-in-law, John Jacobs, James Jacobs and Lemuel Jacobs Jr. (Carol); and a host of sorrowing nephews, nieces, cousins, friends including Joseph Beverly and a very special and dear friend, Mr. Jim Dawson.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm SATURDAY, June 3, 2017 at the River of Praise Worship Center, 83410 St Mark Dr. Yulee, FL 32097. The visitation will be held 5 - 7:00 pm, Friday at the St James Baptist Church, 153037 County Road 108, Yulee, Florida 32097. Interment in Elmore Wilds Cemetery.
