Robert Lee "“Old Man Cornbread”"  Mack Sr.
“The lord is my life and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

On Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. the angel of mercy came and carried away our beloved father Robert Lee Mack, Sr. He was born on June 8, 1927 in Polk City, Florida to the late David Mack and Fannie (Smith) Mack and was married to the late Bertha Lee Mack for 50 years.

He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for 45 years. He also was Chairman Deacon for many years. He had a brother and a sister who both preceded him in death. He retired after working 28 years at ITT Rayonier, Inc. Paper Mill, and spent hours on his CB radio, making friends worldwide over many years and was known by his handle name of “Old Man Cornbread.”

He leaves to cherish his love and memory two daughters, Gail Walters of Yulee, Florida and Pamela Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; Four sons, Leonard Small of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert Mack, Jr (Rochelle) of Atlanta, Georgia, Lawrence Mack of London, England and Barry Mack of Largo, Florida; Two sister-in-laws, Ruth Stukes of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jessie Small of Yulee, Florida; Two brother-in-laws, Horace Small (Alice) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Isaac Small (Elease) of Orange Park, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
