Sandra Michelle Simms
Sandra was born in Grenda, Mississippi on December 12, 1961 to her parents Joe and Josephine Lindsey. She attended schools in the Chicago Public School System and then later went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She later met and married Williams Simms in Jacksonville, Florida on July 25, 2004.

Sandra departed this life on Monday, September 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Lindsey; brother, Jeffery Lee; and her son, Tremell Simon.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory: husband, William Simms; children, Tranondous Simon, Amari Simms, Monica Covin and Chelsey Marion; father, Joe Lindsey (Felicia); sisters, Divetta Wells (Deliano), Alisa James, Darlene Parmley (Eric) and Ethel Burrus; brothers, Tonio Lindsey (Stephanie); godmother, Cassandra (Pludie) Emery; godbrother, Sean Sutherland; grandchildren, Micah Simon, Zahere Simon, Sanaa Simon, A’Janeh Simon, Amira Simon, Jaden Simon, Nakyla Wells and Kaylani Woodbury and a host of other relatives and friends.

God, give me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.

Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.
