PAT GIONET

It was with great sadness and shocked that we at st. Gabriel's learned of Sylvia's untimely passing. She was in so much pain last Sunday she was not able to stay for the full service. The last I spoke with her she was still in pain but as was usual she seemed to except that as par for the course with all she has been through in the way of medical difficulties. Sylvia was a tremendous Comfort to me for many years especially during the time my husband was dying of cancer. She and he spent much time on the telephone entertaining each other and it really uplifted his spirits. She composed a tribute for his memorial service which was printed on the program and I know he was proud to have had that from her. Sylvia was kind and caring and concerned about others. I am grateful for her friendship and for her compassion, and I no she had quite a challenging yet very full life. She was quite the individual and a well-loved member of the st. Gabriel's congregation.
