Obituary for William "Jimmy" Sims Jr.

William "Jimmy"  Sims Jr.
William "Jimmy" Sims, Jr., 61 passed away February 18, 2011. He was born in Valdosta, GA and spent most of his life in Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Sims was retired from Ford Motor Company and Anheuser Busch, and was a proud entrepreneur of Brite Star Cleaners. Mr. Sims graduated from William M. Raines High School. At an early age he gave his life to Christ, and was presently a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Michelle Sims; daughters, Sabrina McAfee (Tony) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Adrian Sims of Atlanta, GA, Karen Johnson (Reginald), Tantrell Rice (Antonio); his sons, Shannon Walker, Darrell Walker; stepchildren, Natoshia Stone, Kanecia McMorris and Brandon McMorris; his parents, William Sims and Katrina Lindsey all of Jacksonville, FL; his five sisters and two brothers Gilda Cuthbert (Julius), Charles (Chuck) Sims (Avril), Carl Sims, Linda Sims, Gloria Westcott, Sandra Jenkins, Crystal Truman; his five grandchildren Briana McAfee, Anthony McAfee, Jakelia Rice, Jarrod Rice and Jalen Johnson and by a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Sims will be held 11AM, Saturday, at the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church. The viewing will be held 5-8PM, TODAY, at the First Chronicles Baptist Church, 2559 West 30th Street. Interment will be held at Arlington Park Cemetery. The viewing will be held Friday February 25, 2011 at First Chronicles Baptist Church, 2559 West 30th Street Jacksonville, FL from 5-8. Arrangements in care of: T.S.
