On Saturday, September 5, 2020, OUR PATRIARCH- A STRONG SOLDIER ended his life’s journey. Elder Willie L. Hardy Sr., Overseer of Love, Peace and Joy Ministry of Jesus Christ, Inc., age 77 went home to be with the Lord. He was born March 26, 1943 and was a native of Tuscaloosa, AL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, elder, preacher, teacher and friend. Overseer Hardy graduated from Druid High School (Class of 61) and in 2007 was awarded an honorary Doctor of Ministry Degree from Refreshing Faith Bible College. Overseer Hardy was a diligent worker. For years he worked at a grocery store called Pantry Pride. After the closing of that store, he later proudly joined The Home Depot family and worked there for 26 years. Throughout the years Overseer worked along-side his companion with Love, Peace & Joy Choir, Child-Care and Church. After the passing of his wife, he also worked alongside his daughter in ministry. He was a firm man but was high-spirited, energetic, outgoing, full of life and Godly wisdom.

Overseer Hardy was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Hinton; his wife, Helen Hardy and his baby brother, Lucious Vaughn. He leaves his love and legacy to his beloved son Willie L. Hardy Jr. (Takecia Hardy) and daughter Monica Hardy. He leaves a lifetime of fond memories to his brother, Sidney Hardy, Sr. (Lisa Hardy) and sisters-in law, Betty Davis and Ethel Hues. He leaves hugs and kisses to his precious grandchildren Timothy Harris, Jr., Jairus Johnson, Lasheala Holloway, Cedric Williams, Jr., and Terrell Simmons. He leaves wisdom to his nieces and nephews Tonya Hart, Sidney Hardy, Jr., Erika Hardy Henry (James Henry), Cydney Hardy Stewart (Willie Stewart) and Joshua Hardy. Additionally, he leaves to celebrate his life a great grand daughter and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

ToThe Hardy Family, To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Your dad loved ❤ God and others. I recall him dancing and swaying when the church service was poppin at Deliverance Temple. He was always polite and kind whenever I visited Love, Joy, Peace Ministry. May God comfort your 💕
