Obituary for Gary Tom Tinsley Jr.

Gary Tom  Tinsley Jr.
GARY TINSLEY, JR. known to most as G.T. passed away suddenly on Friday, April 6, 2012 in Minneapolis, MN. He was born on October 23, 1989 to the parents of Ronda Evans and Gary Tinsley, Sr. Gary accepted Christ on February 11, 2007. He attended local schools and graduated a proud Buc of First Coast High School in 2008, where he was recognized as Best Dressed, 2nd Runner-up in the Mr. Ugly Contest, and was Defensive Tackle on the football team that went to the state championship in 2007.

Gary was currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota to obtain his bachelor in Business Marketing in which his parents will receive on graduation day, May 10, 2012. Gary was named Linebacker of the Year for 2011, he recently tried out for pro day, for the 2012 NFL draft, to persue his dream to take care of “Ma Dukes”, “Pop Dukes”, and sister Najai. Gary loved fashion and always had to have his cherished Ma Dukes approval.

Preceding in death was his twins Gary Tinsley III and Garren, great grandmother, Ellen Evans, grandfather, Ronald Elps, Aunt, Sharon Richardson and cousin, Jonathan Parkinson.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories of life, his parents Ronda Evans, Gary Tinsley, Sr. and sister Najai Tinsley, grandmothers, Myrtis Evans and Martha Tinsley, grandfather Walter Tinsley, devoted great grandparents Thelma and Harry Evans, godmother Daniela Saffore, several aunts, uncle, numerous cousins and countless friends, including Chillen Ent and Tamicah Jackson.The funeral service for Gary Tom Tinsley, Jr. will be held 11 AM, SATURDAY at the Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church, 10325 Interstate Center Dr. The visitation will be held 5 - 8 PM Friday, at the St. Paul A.
