Dear Family, I know that even though some time has passed, you are still mourning and enduring the death of your child. A friend of mine says that losing a loved one is like having a small hole in your heart that won't be filled until you see that loved one again. The good news is that Jesus Christ promised that we would have the opportunity to see our dead loved ones again. At John 5:28, 29 Jesus Christ says, Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come...to a resurrection..." Also at Matthew 5:5 Jesus Christ says, "Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth." Based on Jesus Christ's promises, we can look forward to seeing our dead loved ones alive again on the earth with us. What a wonderful privilege that is held out for us. Until that promised time comes, may the memories of your son warm your heart.
