Condolence: This has been so very hard for me to write. I remember my "Seestair" Vern taking me under her wing at Blue Cross as we learned to deal with the Pick System as at the same time she taught me to be a hardware techie. Or so I thought - I was the "Cable Tree" as we pulled the cables for our Honeywell DPS6 - Robert Taylor took one look at that scenario and hauled butt! Vern made life there worth tolerating. She and Stell made me a part of their family and we reciprocated with so much love. Good bye dear friend. Say hello to Grannie,Emi and Richard for me. With so much love from Hilda and Marty.

Condolence: My condolences to the entire family on Verne's passing. You are all in my thoughts.
I still tell the story of Verne just about knocking me out one night in the tape pool at BCBSF. I came up behind her, scared her as she was handling an open reel tape, and she let me have it with a back-handed swing that gave me well deserved stars. Needless to say that was the last time I scared her.
Sorry I will not be able to pay my respects in person as I will be in Ohio. May you all find peace in your memories of a wonderful lady.
