Charles Sylvester Doles, Jr. was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 9, 1964 to Charles and Mary Doles. His mother moved to Logan Street (off Tyler) when he was very young, and he put his roots down in that neighborhood early. He managed to win the hearts of almost everyone in the entire community; young and old; men and women. During his lifetime he became the father of 8 children: Tenisha Lamar (22), Dominique Lloyd (18), Michael Jones (17), Victoria Pinkney (17), Devonte Lloyd (16), Charles Javan Doles (16), Nevaeh Barrett (5), Freddie Barrett (4), and "like a son"- Florentino Barret (7). Yes, Charles loved the ladies; and the ladies loved him back.

"Charles Doe" passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, August 27, 2010 due to untreated high blood pressure that caused him to have a brain stroke. He was an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, 1 brother(Charles Doles, Jr.), a baby sister (Darlene Doles), and a beloved sister (Charlotte Doles, who has been a missing person since June 19, 1983. She was 19 years old).

Left to cherish his memory are his 8 children; his "Wifey" D'talya "Dee Dee" Barrett; 7 sisters: Roslyn Ransom (Albert), "Precious" Loraine Doles-Morgan (Quinton), Diane Walker (Shawn) Shirley Ann Doles, Charlene Doles-Freeman, Shay Campbell (Keith), and Cerella Doles; 5 brothers: Pastor Carl Doles (Jackie), Charlie Doles (Belinda), Theodore "Flat Top" Anderson, Troy Doles (Vanessa), and Dwayne Randall; Godparents, Isaiah and Dorothy Johnson; countless nephews and nieces, who include Raymond "Lil Henry Manns" Doles, Samerica Doles, Alyssa Ransom-Horne (Richard), Freshanda Callahan, Shakora Watson, Shaun Ransom, Brittany Doles, and so on; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends; including a father figure, Johnny F. Rogers, Sr., Charles "Cry Baby" Johnson, Tomothy Lowery, and Major Skylark.
