4th of July 2017
Dad, I still have the last picture of you which Charlie Jr or Chris texted me the last 4th of July when you were able to sit up in bed and enjoy a steak and bar-b-cue. Well, you were with us at home with Mother this 4th of July in great stories told by your grandson Alton and your son Tony. When the two of them get together--the house is full of jokes and laughter. It was good to be home and see Mother enjoying herself with family and friends. She really had a good time. The day was extremely hot, and the house was full of people, but nobody seemed to mind. Thank you for the memories of being with us once again in spirit. The life's stories that you left with us will always be well remembered in our hearts.
