So Many Memories

Grandma, I miss you more than you can imagine. You played such a huge part in my life. You were the face I saw the most (next to my mom). From birth to high school graduation, you've been there. One thing you always told me that I will never forget is "Get your lesson." Whether it would be someone trying to help me with my homework to you talking to me about college, you always wanted to make sure I was staying focused. You knew my potential and you wouldn't accept anything less from me. So as I go on and continue to pursue my college degree and career, you'll be at the forefront of my mind. Thank you for being the best cook. I loved going to your house for every holiday and every other day in between. Because of you, I looked forward to going to church because I knew we were going to your house after and could more than likely expect you to be making Sunday dinner or have it ready by the time we got there. And if I wasn't sure, I would always say to my mom, "We're going to grandma's house, right?" I didn't feel complete if we missed a Sunday or few. You've instilled those family values in me from a young age and I plan to continue it and pass it on to my kids. I'm gonna miss watching the football games with you, Tina, and my mom. Y'all sure could scream for y'all favorite team (the Jaguars) like your lives (and the game) depended on it. Thanks for the memories. I'll hold on to them forever. I love you so so much. Hope you're having a good time being reunited with your mommy and daddy. Tell God to save me a seat near you guys in heaven.
