A Place of Refuge

My earliest memory in life and she was in it. My dad fell asleep while watching me and I wanted to play, so I went across the parking lot to Clyneze house. I knocked on the door and she looked out and didn't see anyone. I pulled on her pant leg to make her look down. I smiled and walked in and went to play with my cousins. Sometime later my father burst into the room in a mad panic and Clyneze was point her finger at him. I remember thinking, "Uho,he's in trouble now". From then onward, when ever I was upset I always found myself at her house. A house full kids can sometimes be chaotic, but it was always peaceful in her presence.
