Life Story for Timothy Michael ""Timmy"" Cohen

Timothy Michael Cohen, USN (RETIRED) age 51, was called home suddenly June 28 2010, at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. He was born to Lem and the late Elizabeth Cohen on May 9, 1959 in Madera, Ca. He is survived by the love of his life, his dear and loving wife of almost 16 years, Lisa Cohen; 3 sisters, Elaine Coates (Rah-Ben), Jacqueline Mitchell (Louis) and Traci Cohen; brothers, Bobby Buxton, Terry L. Cohen and Nathaniel F. Cohen; 2 sons: Herschel Cohen (USN) and Marques Johnson; 1 daughter: Markeisha Johnson; 1 grandson Marques E. Johnson; nieces: Jaguar, Jasmine and Symphonee Cohen, Robyn Coates, Kevina and Rachelle Smith; nephews, Jonathan Buxton, Rah-Ben and Evan Coates, Zaccheus and Xylem Cohen, Louis J Mitchell IV; mother-in-law, Blanche Smith; brother-in-law, Todd Smith; special family friend, Teresa Tyler and Tim's special friends Alexander and Annette Jordan and Alonzo Harris. He was a member of U.S. 1 Church of Christ, minister Clarence Williams. Tim loved the LORD with his whole heart and enjoyed going to church on Sunday and Wednesday night BIBLE study, the comic convention, his extensive collection of comic books, action figures, his country and the Navy. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and doing things for and with his wife and grandson. Tim has authored poetry and his infectious smile has won over countless friends. Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
