Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Ms. Ashley stands among the great. She set a shining example of how to be strong, proud, humble and loving. She always emphasized the importance of education and the need to know from whence we came. She acknowledged our accomplishments and encouraged perseverance in our failures. It has been approximately fifty years since she taught me in the second grade, yet I will always remember her as one of my favorite teachers and guiding lights. May God Bless you all during this difficult time and find solace in knowing that God is saying to her "Job well done my good and faithful servant>"
